I believe success in many ways is up to the person searching for it to determine. My view of success is living a life of happiness. Wealth, freedom, and family are just tools that help create that happiness. No one persons view of happiness is the same, therefore everyone has a different view of success.
I really like the band Kamelot, but I’m having trouble finding other bands like them in similar genres. Could you please give a list of suggested bands? Here is what I’m looking for:
I DO like:
1. Fantasy themed music and/or very deep philosophical lyrics
2. Driving sounds that makes you feel like you’re about to experience something amazing, like an epic battle or the unleashing of your inner beast
3. Symphonic sort of feel to it
4. Clear, dramatic vocals
I’m NOT looking for:
1. Screaming, growling, cookie monster voice, too many effects too often, or the vocals being high pitch the entire song
2. Double time guitar/drums throughout the whole song. It’s ok here and there, but I don’t want half of the song to be speed picking and double time drums
3. Singing too fast and/or rushing through the lyrics
4. Female singers ( no offense, I do like some bands, but this is not what I’m looking for right now )
5. Too mellow ( Dream Theater comes to mind, great band, but not what I am looking for because they don’t get me pumped up, the vocals aren’t dramatic enough and they don’t exercise a wide enough range of emotion for this specific purpose )
I hope I haven’t offended anyone’s taste in music or their favorite bands. It’s not that I NEVER want to hear any of that stuff, but I am looking for a very specific type of music right now to add to my list… and those other types of sounds/bands just don’t meet the specific criteria.
Progressive, Symphonic and Power Metal are probably the best categories to choose from, but feel free to think outside the box.

Can Uncle Ruckus be the physical manifestation of the ignorance of racism?
Think about it, on Boondocks, he is black and yet he stereotypes blacks just as any other racist white man, but HE IS BLACK TOO, it kind of shows how ugly and stupid racism is, he is so ugly, that he appears to be the outward manifestation of racism, I’m black, and yet I find it funny that he is racist against blacks because he is black…….I just thought there was a deeper meaning to him being created.
