What are the 10 Rules of the Power of Positive Thinking?

The power of positive thinking and the top ten rules in getting it is one of the hottest topic today. This is because people are realizing that positive thinking does affect life significantly.

Have you heard of “The Secret” movie? It’s rapidly making it’s way around the world. Whether you see a glass as half-empty or half-full can affect the way you treat yourself. We are in control of our lives and our destiny.

An idle brain, is a devil’s workshop they say. Using this ideology in mind, we ventured to write on positive thinking, so that something productive would be achieved of our minds.

Here are the top 10 Rules to Get the Power of Positive Thinking

1) Believe – You need to believe. You can not pretend to be a positive thinker. In positive thinking, you can not fake it because there is no one to pretend to.

If somebody merely believes that you are a positive thinker, how can that benefit you? The most important of the ten rules of the power of positive thinking is that you yourself should believe it.

2) Be objective – This is very important in the ten rules for the power of positive thinking. Many people tend to see their lives for their failures and thus,

they lose all hope of ever attaining in their goal. Some other people, filled with false pride, tend to magnify their success and they make all the wrong decisions.

3) Surround yourself with people who are positive – When you are engaged in an internal battle between your negative and positive self, you will need all the help you can get. Don’t surround yourself with negative people who will just drag your positive attitude to the floor with their negativity.

4) Be healthy – All of the positive thinking in the world will not help you if you are six feet under, can it? You have to keep your body healthy in order to fuel your positive thinking. One step to achieving the power of positive thinking is looking after your body.

5) Switch negativity around – Remove all negative thoughts by repelling it outright when something negative enters your personality.

Channel that energy into positive thoughts.

6) Be patient – Positive thinking is not immediate. You need to reprogram yourself in order to get remove any negative attitude you possess.

7) Remember that other people can sense your negativity – Before you do anything, be sure to have the right attitude. One reason why people fail is because others can sense their negative attitude and want no part of it.

8) Always look for something positive in everything new – When you encounter something unfamiliar, do not be afraid. Take a hard look at it and see it for the positive effects it brings, this will make your life easier.

9) Pace yourself – You need to pace yourself in order to prevent yourself from collapsing. Take life one day at a time. Remember that you can not hurry into getting positive.

10) Apply the change – The main characteristic of these ten rules of the power of positive thinking is the fact that they only bring you to the door. You have to open it yourself. Many individuals do not realize this, but we need these rules in order to appreciate life more. Some people think rules limit our achievements, but this is untrue. Without any rules, we would have been extinct centuries ago. Rules remove the chaos that is called life and impose sanity into it.

Rules are what we use to help us understand the true meaning of life. Sometimes, we look for rules in order to help us attain our goals. People make rules in order to help themselves achieve their goals in a manner that they can understand. Rules are also used to help us understand life. People give out rules in order to help others get what they want. We are able to keep every discovery made because of rules.

It seems that people, when looking for rules, like to stick to ten, which is a nice, round number. It comes as no surprise that individuals look for 10 rules for the power of positive thinking.

I Am A Positive Affirmation!

Affirmations have been used since the beginning of time. We use affirmations to help us lose weight, get a better paying job, stop smoking, and even be more outgoing in social settings. Positive affirmations help us build self-confidence and self-esteem. We use affirmations to control our fears and anxieties and remind us of how we are making a positive difference in our lives. Positive affirmations can be successfully utilized in all areas to enhance personal growth.

What is an Affirmation?

An affirmation is a statement that you repeat to yourself constantly. People use affirmations constantly without realizing what they are doing.

For example: you walk on the treadmill in the early morning, jump in the shower afterwards and then head to work when you are finished. On the drive in you think: “I feel awesome!” That is a positive affirmation. You drag yourself out of bed, take your shower and then head to work when you are finished. On the drive to work, you may think: “I feel lousy!” Obviously, that’s a negative affirmation. Both statements contribute to the emotional state you are in. So why not choose to be positive? You’ll feel better and perform better!

When we talk to ourselves, the things we say are very important because they have direct influence on our conscious and subconscious mind. We listen to everything we say to ourselves whether it is audible, or it comes from our subconscious mind. Positive affirmations are essential in maintaining a healthy flow of positive thoughts into our minds. We can use them to transform the negative affirmations of our past into positive affirmations that will move us forward to the goals we wish to obtain in our lives. It takes diligence in the beginning to change how we think, but the results will be worth the effort.

It is important to always make sure that the positive affirmations you choose are personal in many aspects. You will want to always state them in the first person and in the present tense, for example “I am healthy and slim, and I only eat when I am hungry.” You have made it personal, and in the words that you would use in normal conversation. Plus you’re not talking about “theoreticals,” you are talking about the here-and-now. If you make the positive affirmations too complicated or wordy, you will have a hard time remembering them and soon get discouraged and give up.

When you actually state the positive affirmation out loud, you need to state it with enthusiasm and feeling. “I am an awesome team player,” or “I am a valuable asset to my company!” And to make sure that the affirmations take hold you need to continue reciting them daily for an extended period of time until they become a natural part of your thought patterns.

A list of positive affirmations to help you achieve your goal for inner harmony is below:

? I choose to balance my work schedule well.
? I sleep peacefully each night.
? I encourage and praise my kids each day.
? I brighten my day by smiling at others.
? I am a good listener for my friends.
? I enjoy the wonderful home that I have created for my family.
? I am a beautiful person inside and out.

Is being gay a fad now?

I have nothing wrong with homosexuals considering that I have gone to affirmations with friends and because I believe it is there own personal choice that really has nothing to do with anyone else, but I can’t help but notice that being gay has become a fad rather than a lifestyle. In school and even afterward people portray the message that being gay “is cool”, and are obnoxious with letting everyone else know that they are gay. I haven’t ever seen straight people decorate their cars with “proud to be straight” stickers or parade around town for “straight pride”. Also there are all the stereotypes with dance, appearance, and even the way a person talks that is associated with being gay. In ways I can relate this to the movie SLC Punk in the fact that Stevo thought he was being an individual by acting, and dressing like a punk, but in reality he was just following a fad of the time. So my question is being gay just another one those fads (like being a punk) and will it ever go back to just being a relationship or is it going to continue to be a “fashion” that people are advertising? I would love input from someone of the “gay community” on how they feel about being gay being a fad.

I’m not being mean and don’t intend to insult anyone, I ‘m honestly curious about this question, so please answer honestly.
Please do not write rude harmful things about the gay community, those answers are not what I’m looking for considering I support a person’s right to be with whom they love
I’m sorry if I have offended those by stating being gay is a persons choice. It’s just that three of my closest friends have told me that they decided they were going to be gay, that is the only reason I used the word “choice”, I should have used the phrase “sexual preference”

The Method Of Positive Thinking

Positive thinking is a method used by many people the world over for many different reasons. It is a way of using the mind to allow positive thoughts, dreams, ideas, goals and other notions to drift through your mind, allowing for a greater understanding and acceptance of these things. By practicing positive thinking you are opening yourself up to experiencing good and beneficial outcomes in your life. You will begin to see the good in situations instead of focusing on negative aspects, you will not dwell on things that have brought you unhappiness – instead you will see it as a learning curve.

Not everyone believes in the power of positive thinking and they scoff at the idea of the subconscious mind playing a role in our goal setting. They don’t believe that positive thinking can have any impact on their life whatsoever and that anything they get in life is all due to fate – it was meant to happen that way. This is a perfectly reasonable attitude to have but it does seem somewhat narrow minded to those who practice positive thinking.

The subconscious mind plays a very large part in the process of positive thinking, it is used to allow thoughts to enter a person’s consciousness and grow in a beneficial way. The law of attraction is also used in positive thinking, this is the theory that if a person thinks about attaining something in life for long enough it will happen. Just thinking about something however is not the way in which the law of attraction works – for example you might dream about owning a mansion but that is as far as it goes.

The law of attraction works on a different level, when used in conjunction with positive thinking it is argued that a person will take subtle steps to achieving what they want. They might not be fully aware that they are doing this, and this is where the subconscious mind comes into play. A person may think about retraining for a change of career, they may start to engage in goal setting and start to behave in a different way. All of these things are small changes and they may take time but they are all working towards the one aim. Even if the person using the law of attraction doesn’t get exactly what they are hoping for they will find happiness stems from the small changes they make as they are all for the better and improve their life.

Goal setting is another important aspect of positive thinking, it allows a person to decide on something they would like to gain or achieve in life and then set out to do so. For example, a person may want to overcome a difficult situation such as a divorce and they may find that by practicing positive thinking they can turn the situation around. Rather than dwelling on the break up of a marriage, a person who practices positive thinking would think of it as a chance to do things they had never done before. By using goal setting, they may decide they are going to set themselves the goal of going to a night class, or taking up another new challenge. And all of this can be achieved by positive thinking.

Positive thinking is not just about goal setting and using the law of attraction to get results in their life, it can also be about using the subconscious mind to heal themselves.

Individuals who contract potentially fatal diseases such as cancer, often turn to positive thinking, as a way of strengthen themselves from within. In fact those who have used positive thinking when facing treatments have found that they have had beneficial results. They face each day with a renewed positive attitude, which comes from positive thinking and this can have an astounding impact on their recovery. Their subconscious mind is feeding their body with positive energy and this boosts their whole being, aiding recovery and invigorating them.

Positive thinking is what you make it and if you are able to allow your subconscious mind to help you with goal setting you will be on your way to achieving whatever you want in life.
