The mind is to the brain as the sun is to a lighted match.

YES. many people can tap into certain brainwaves that allows them to have gifts such as physic abilities and whatnot. Even weird is the Shoal-in Monks. they can control there mind to not feel pain and release an energy called chi power to perform unbelievable punches and kicks and other superhuman abilities. But They are not gifted people like i said before. They just train and view there mind as a an unstoppable and unpredictable machine of the human body.
Some belive that in 2012, we will gain a spiritual enhancement alowwing us to never be the same before mind wise.
The fact that we have a mind in the first place is amystery to me.
we can hear voices and see memories, we have emotions and whatnot. what is life without the mind. where do the images and voices come from in our mind? Like threres obviously no tv and speakers in our brain.
    Its a mind boggler
it is our mind that propels us through this universe and time.
so if we are coming up with new ideas and fantasies in our minds, does that not mean that the mind is more powerful than we think it is?
the mind also thinks before the body, it can remember and gain new thoughts.
so yea i cnat even keep up with my mind

Are you serious, short talk, on the human mind……………K then

considering psychologically we as a “human race” take on a group mindset, so yes as a race we don’t think our minds are as powerful as they really are, but then of course “individually” we have concept of the power our mind is capable of but not to it’s full extent.

As for portraying things that aren’t reality I ask you are we really on this planet or are we inside our own brains.

I don’t know about certain powers not known before but i’m absolutely %100 ppositivethat our mind is capable of doing anything, it’s just a matter of who/what is stopping us from doing it.

The mind actually has no power at all. That is why it has all the power.

It’s not crazy at all. I know the mind is more powerful and capable than what we’ve come to know so far. As for unleashing powers, let’s just look at how much simple things like prayer and intention can generate. There are people who have been able to do things–move things or bend them– with their mind only, no hands involved.

As for portraying unreal things, where do you suppose so much of our imagination comes from? Everything from visions, to artwork and music, to stories, to movies of all types–all had to come from someplace and get interpreted in someone else’s brain before it got to ours.

I think we can influence each other, good and bad, which is why it is best to be responsible, upstanding, and empathetic to the rest of creation. We have the power to affect others, and I choose it to be for our good, instead of the other way.

    Blessings!

we live in a time where the brain is measured by it’s power of what it has learned…we have have forgotten how to use that part of our brains that are are just pure un-learned raw power..it’s a sad ship we sail upon.

I don’t believe in any supernatural powers of the mind. It is, however, very true that a great part of the potential power of our mind remains untapped in most of us due to its inherent quality of diffusion and spread that leads to considerable loss of clarity and focus. This is why the conscious exercises of meditation and concentration seem to empower our mind beyond what we would normally imagine to be its possible capabilities.

@ Happy – Yes !! it is that simple

    @ Merkury – what a wonderful rendition

you create your own reality moment for moment … think of your daydreams as a virtual reality of what you will manifest into your own reality … focus and clarity are two very powerful mental forces when combined with intent.

It is in at least one sense: we are good at making things up without realising we’re doing it. I’m not sceptical about psychic abilities, but i am aware of the unreliability of memory, so for example there can be false memories and the false impression that one has done something, sometimes in great detail, when in fact one hasn’t.

Mind has got immense potential. We generally use meager percentage of our mental capacity. Mind power is tremendous. What has so far been achieved by man is only because of the mind.
